Eden Police were called out to Penrith earlier this week to deal with a 'nuisance beggar'.
A man who was holding up a sign suggesting that he was homeless was engaged with and (after safeguarding addressed) moved on today in Penrith town centre following a complaint.
Eden Police said: "Working together with council homeless team, Eden NPT are keen to identify any underlying concerns with this situation, as things are often not as they seem."
