A 10-year-old is excited to bring her organic bakes back to Carlisle with a Christmas twist.
Squig's Organic Bakes, run by Elouera and her professional chef father Dave Simpson, will pop up at Carlisle's Teenage Market at The Lanes Shopping Centre on November 23, between 10am and 3pm.
Squig's Organic Bakes was founded out of Elouera's passion for nature, animals, and the unavailability of tasty organic treats in nearby shops.
Elouera has a rare genetic medical condition that led to part of her bowel being taken out.
She previously said: "I love cooking, nature, and animals, so I wanted to create a business that did not harm the natural world.
"I have to be super careful about what I eat - highly processed foods make me sick.
"I just couldn't find any delicious treats in the shops, so I thought why not make my own," she said.
They use only organic, natural products and offer many vegan options, all free from 'nasty additives.'
The father-and-daughter duo will be selling a range of festive treats, including sage, onion and cranberry scones, roasted veg and stuffing rolls, rosemary focaccia, shortbread stars, mince pies, and chocolate orange fudge brownies.
The market will allow shoppers to buy unique, locally made Christmas gifts and enjoy live entertainment from young performers.
All stalls were booked within 24 hours of the event being advertised.
This will be the seventh Teenage Market in Carlisle since the first event in April 2023.
