A convenience store that has just re-opened in Millom is to launch a new delivery service as it looks for ways to help the local community. 

The One Stop Shop on Lampstone Road announced last week it will be teaming up with the Snappy Shopper delivery service with the aim of bringing an affordable delivery service to the town with a small delivery fee.

The service offers store to door within 30 to 60 minutes so if people are too rushed to make it down to the shop, your goods will be delivered to your door with just a click of a button.

The Snappy Shopper is perfect for when you need everyday items such as milk, eggs, bread, freezer fillers, and cupboard must-haves such as condiments, sauces, snacks and treats.

Umangkumar Patel, 30, from Northampton, took over the shop around four months ago and renovated the entire store.

The shop was then able to re-open on October 10  with a new One Stop new facia owned by the Tesco group.

Mr Patel said: "Since we've opened we've tried to find new ways to help the local community, asking for feedback and at times we've held giveaways.

"We're really excited about this new Snappy Shopper service as we really think it will be of help to the community - particularly for older customers.

"The way I see it is I'm making money from the local community from their business so I would really like to explore opportunities to give back.

The Snappy Shopper app offers both same day and nominated day delivery with an average of just £10 minimum spend which is set by the store.

The app can be downloaded on both the Apple Store and Google Play.
