A DRIVER was stopped in the Carlisle area for driving with no insurance.
Officers were patrolling the Currock area when the driver was noticed.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "You said you had concerns around driving standards in the Currock and Upperby areas of the city in the latest PACT survey.
"Today PC 2810 and PCSO 5416 the local neighbourhood team for Currock and Upperby were out educating drivers when the driver of this vehicle caught their eye due to its speed and manner of driving around 5 road ends. The driver stopped with no current insurance.
"Traffic offence report submitted with the driver facing a minimum of 6 points and £300 fine
"Vehicle seized section 165 road traffic act.
"This action alongside a number of drivers educated and warned shows our commitment to working on the issues you raise."
