CUMBRIA Police were made aware of a teenager who had fallen into a hole on an abandoned farm.
Authorities are urging people to be aware of the dangers of entering abandoned, derelict, properties.
The incident occurred in the Carlisle are on Sunday, November 17.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "We were made aware of an incident where a teenager had fallen into a deep, narrow hole of water on an abandoned farm near Carlisle.
"Thankfully, they were unharmed and made their way home to dry off and warm up.
"The Neighbourhood Policing Team has been in contact with Cumberland Council about the incident and they have managed to speak to the landowner about covering the hole over, which has been done prior to the start of this weekend.
"The derelict farm is private land so the group of youths should not have been there and this message has been pressed home.
"These places are extremely dangerous and exploring them should be discouraged at every opportunity."
