An annual canary show is set to return to Low Hesket.
The Cumbria Border and Fife Fancy Canary Club will host its annual canary show on Sunday, December 8.
The event, to be held in Low Hesket Village Hall, will showcase around 500 birds, including various breeds such as the Fife Canary and the Border Canary.
The show is a popular gathering for canary breeders, also known as fanciers, many of whom have inherited the pastime through generations.
The club encourages people interested in canary breeding to attend, offering a chance to meet like-minded individuals and learn more about the hobby.
The show opens to the general public from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Birds can be entered to the show on Saturday, December 7 from 5pm to 8pm and on Sunday, December 8 from 7.30am to 8.45am.
The club holds an Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) approval licence to run the show.
This year's event will feature a raffle with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes to be won, as well as some Border and Fife canaries.
Disabled access is available, although dogs are not permitted in the show hall.
Alongside the festivities, there will be refreshments, including tea, coffee, steak pie and chips, soft drinks, and cake.
The Cumbria Border and Fife Fancy Canary Club's annual show provides an opportunity to those interested in canary breeding to met fellow bird enthusiasts.
