A new business offering 'extraordinary experiences for outdoor enthusiasts' has officially launched in Cumbria.
Bike Hike & Paddle is fronted by passionate adventurer Dave Phillips, who founded the business to combine his expertise of the outdoors with his love for creating challenging adventures that foster a deep appreciation for nature.
His goal is to ignite a lifelong love affair with the outdoors, whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a beginner.
The North Cumbria based business will work with Trash Free Trails on three dates next month to help keep trails clean in Keswick and Penrith, with more experiences to come in the new year.
Dave, who has over 25 years of experience working in the outdoor industry, said: "Our passion is introducing others to the wonders of the outdoors and facilitating adventures. Often this is undertaking tasks that others need help with, maybe the technical elements of the activity or simply planning the journey. We work with clients one-to-one through to large group events. There are open events that anyone can join or book a bespoke session for your own group."
A National Navigation Award Scheme program will run in the Keswick area on January 11 and January 12, with tickets available to book through the website.
The business has received funding from Cumberland Council to make Dave's dream a reality, and now he hopes that his expertise can inspire, reignite or simply build on a love for outdoor activities.
Funding can also support those living in the Cumberland Council area who wish to take part, through kit loans and price reductions when necessary.
Bike Hike & Paddle added: "With a rich background exploring forests, climbing mountains, and paddling lakes, Dave understands the transformative power of the wilderness. BikeHikeAndPaddle offers extraordinary experiences for outdoor enthusiasts, pushing participants to overcome obstacles and discover their inner strength. Dave's commitment to safety, sustainability, and creating a supportive community sets him apart as a leader and companion."
Sessions in the new year will likely include hikes, bike rides and canoe trips, with more details set to be released soon.
Competitions offering free kit or adventures are also posted on the business' Facebook page. Currently a free head torch to be won by Thursday, December 5.
