PLANS have been submitted to display signage for a new 'German style' kebab shop in Carlisle.
An application has been submitted by Mr Gokcan Sevin of Berlin Donner and Pizza to display an illuminated shopfront fascia and a projecting sign at Unit 1, English Gate Plaza, on Botchergate.
The unit was previously occupied by sandwich chain Subway.
According to the application submitted to Cumberland Council, the proposed signage would be black, green, yellow and white.

A picture of the proposed sign says 'Berlin Kebab and Pizza', with 'Doner Kebab from Germany' in smaller typeface underneath, with 'kebabs, wraps, slice pizza, and specials', on the side.
The application says that pre-application advice has already been sought by Roger Higgins of Cumberland Council.
The application is currently under consideration by Cumberland Council planners.
