A Penrith music festival has announced it will be returning next year after being postponed earlier this year.

Wannasee Festival Penrith was cancelled in the week before this year's August Bank Holiday event due to 'poor ground conditions'.

Now, organisers have confirmed it will be back at Hutton-in-the-Forest from August 22 to 24, 2025.

Last year's event came under public backlash from attendees due to conditions including long queues, 'shambolic' toilets, and cars being pulled from the mud by tractors.

Organisers explained the challenges faced and addressed the criticism, and expressed ambitions for the festival to 'return to its roots' for the 2024 event which included a reduced capacity.

In a post on social media, organisers said: "After having to make the difficult but correct decision to postpone this year - we cannot wait to be back with you in 2025!

"Wannasee Penrith 2025 will be the same reduced capacity we had planned for 2024, going back to our roots and what made our festival so well loved.

"Once tickets are gone they'll be gone, and these will already be limited as over 1500 of you rolled your tickets over from the postponed festival this year," they said.

Tickets are on sale now with a limited number of 'super early birds' available.
