A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries including cuts to his arm, following an assault in Workington town centre.
Police received a report at around 7.30am this morning, November 28 reporting an assault which took place in the early hours of this morning outside a premises on Washington Street, Workington.
In the incident a man, 19, was assaulted and sustained injuries which included cuts to the arm. The victim was taken to hospital, but the injuries sustained are not thought to be serious, police said.
Police are currently conducting enquires to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Cumbria police have said that this is an isolated incident, with no ongoing risk to the public.
