CREIGHTON Rugby Club in Carlisle has said that it is 'extremely excited' ahead of hosting its fire walk fundraiser event and fun day.
The club, which is located on Carlisle's Sycamore Lane, will host the event on Saturday, November 30.
At the event, volunteers will walk across the hot coals, overseen by UK Firewalk owner and two-time Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell, to raise money for the club's under-14s side to go on their first-ever tour and to help junior member Lottie Grierson and her school, Richard Rose Central Academy, support communities in Ecuador.
For those not interested in the daring fire walk, there will be a number of stalls at the event such as Toys N' Tech, Naomi's Crafts, Scentsy, and Lady Gail's Poems and Photography.
In addition, two raffles will take place throughout the day, with one to win a signed Carlisle United football and another to win a variety of prizes, including a hamper from Carlisle Brass, a half term of dance lessons from Carlisle Dance Academy as well as a range of different vouchers.
He said: "We are extremely excited for what will be a fun family day for all at a club that is continually growing and if the weather blesses us, there may even be a bouncy castle for some added fun.
"There is still time for volunteers to join in Firewalk too and have a fantastic experience.
"If anyone would like to participate please contact Chris Marsh, Hayley Liddle, or Nic Grierson, or come down on the day and donate £15 to take part."
