A MAN has been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years after attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Christopher Tremble, 40, intentionally attempted to communicate with a person under 16 and discussed sexual acts, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
He pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child when he appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Tremble, of Eller Bank, Harrington, Workington, was given an 18-month community order with 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He was fined £336.
The defendant is required to register with the police as a sex offender for five years. A sexual harm prevention order was imposed with a number of prohibitions, which include having any unsupervised contact or communication with any child, under the age of 16 years.
