CUMBRIA Police are looking for volunteers to staff their Safer Street Hub.
The hub is located in Carlisle city centre and offers those in distress safety and advice at night time.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "An opportunity has arisen to join the well established Safer Streets Welfare Hub in Carlisle City Centre as a Safer Streets Volunteer.
"The Welfare Hub provides a visible and reassuring presence to those who require help, support, or information.
"Your role will be to support the efficient running of the hub along with providing signposting and support to vulnerable people.
"Due to the nature of the welfare hub, and the times it operates, you will be required to be available to work unsociable hours during the weekend.
"You will be provided with all the required training and equipment."
