A charity is inviting people to take a dip on New Year's Day.
The Lake District Calvert Trust is hosting its third New Year's Day Dip, and hopes to welcome 500 dippers.
The 2024 event saw more than 300 dippers take to the chilly waters.
The Dip is set to take place at 11am on January 1, at Derwentwater, and spots are limited to 500, on a first come first served basis.
Julia Metcalf, fundraising officer for the Lake District Calvert Trust, said: "Our New Year’s Day Dip has become a firm fixture in the fundraising calendar and promises to, once again, be a great community event to start the year.
"The fun will start at 11am and fancy dress is most definitely encouraged.
"Hot drinks and nibbles are courtesy of our charity partners, Booths Keswick, while our Calvert catering staff will be laying their best warming soup.
"Donations most welcome – we do cash and contactless so no excuses."
The event is free to attend, but swimmers are encouraged to make a voluntary minimum donation of £5, to support the Lake District Calvert Trust.
Limited edition Calvert-branded bobble hats are also available to pre-order when booking your place, and can be collected on the day.
The Keswick Launch Company are allowing use of the shoreline to support the event.
Lake District Calvert Trust instructors and staff will be on duty at Derwentwater to ensure that all dippers are kept safe.
Wetsuits are recommended, and safety boats will also be on hand.
