DRIVERS in and around Carlisle will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A69, from 9am to 4pm on December 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, - Peacock lonnen near Greenholme - traffic signals to carry out carriageway repairs.
• A69, from 9am to 4pm on December 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, Hayton - traffic signals to carry out carriageway and footpath repairs.
• M6, from 7am December 16 to 5am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 44 tp 43, Lane one and 1/2 closure for patching and road marking/stud reinstatements.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
