A Whitehaven woman has been banned from being 'drunk in a public place' by Cumbria Police.
Alexandra Shaw of Jefferson Park was handed a two-year criminal behaviour order at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 2.
The order prohibits Shaw from being drunk in a public place and from consuming alcohol in a public place other than in a licenced premises which serves alcohol to be consumed on the premises.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "A criminal behaviour order application for Shaw was sought after by the local policing team following her conviction for being drunk in a public place in June.
"Anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken should contact the police immediately.
"The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison."
