WE shared the news that a restaurant in Carlisle is moving to a more prominent city centre location.
OKA Tapasu, an Asian fusion restaurant, will move to Greenmarket, taking over the space where Alex's Pasta Bar once operated.
Stacey Kidd said: "Love OKA. The present restaurant is a little small so this should give more options. Really looking forward to it."
Jonathan Pooré said: "I say good luck and I’ll see you soon," while Pauline Burke said: "How about IKEA coming to the Debenhams building, that would be amazing, could do with something like that."
Fiona Moscrop said a 'Chinese restaurant would be nice', and Pauline Burke also commented: "It's all food and drink that the town centre has got loads of already."
Salam Sy said: "Can I just ask why all the shops in Carlisle are closing? This is really sad."
Ellie Healey and Joanne Bewley shared their support for OKA.
Julieanne Haymer said: "Will look forward to when you're open for trading so I can try some of your recipes on your menu."
Gillian Hayton commented: "Good luck to you and good to know you can still get a takeaway from Alex's."
Paul Lawlor added: "More great news for the city centre. We need more variety in cuisines. Excited."
Serving dishes described as Japanese/Korean tapas, OKA Tapasu will move from their former location in Carlyle Court on September 23, and will operate from the new location, by the old town hall, from September 29.
