EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell could be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this week amid a new curse haunting the show.
In previous weeks, Bobby Brazier and his partner have been among the favourites to win the 2023 series but this could all change.
Recently, the pair passed the halfway mark of the series after sailing on through with the Argentine Tango to Sail by Awolnation to land a score of 30.
While judge Anton Du Beke had some issues with the routine, saying it appeared too rehearsed, he did add that there was very little to critique, saying it was "absolutely clean as a whistle".
Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell warned of elimination next week amid new Strictly curse
However, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell were recently warned on It Takes Two that their upcoming routine was a "dance of doom", by BBC show presenter OJ Borg.
He added that the American Smooth has been disastrous for many Strictly Come Dancing contestants with four out of the six to try it being eliminated the following week.
He said: "I played that music because it’s the dance of doom and I don’t mean me in a nightclub at 3am, I mean the fact that if we look at this here – Jodie and Jowita, Eddie and Karen, Zara and Graziano and Adam and Luba, the week after they have done the American Smooth, they have been eliminated."
However, others such as Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu and Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have managed to avoid this 'curse' in the past.
Bobby and Dianne are currently in third place in the overall leaderboard with 212 points so far.
This places them behind Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin (who are on 241), and second place Ellie and Vito (on 235).
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6:05pm on Saturday (November 11, 2023).
