Over the last few weeks, Coronation Street's usual schedule faced a little bit of disruption due to Euros 2024 taking place on ITV1.

This meant episodes had to be moved around for football matches to be shown, much to the disappointment of loyal fans.

But ITV have now announced a “little treat” for the Corrie audience over the summer, as the broadcaster has made changes to how the episodes will be aired.

Where can I watch all the Coronation Street episodes?

Viewers of the beloved soap will be able to watch episodes of the latest cobbles drama in Weatherfield on ITVX from 7 am, each day they are due to air on ITV1.

The same changes also apply to Emmerdale over the next few weeks.

In a post on X, @itvcorrie revealed: “We're giving you a little treat this summer whilst the Olympics are on.

“On each day of transmission, you can find Corrie and Emmerdale episodes on ITVX at 7am!

“But remember to keep this a spoiler free zone for those watching in the evenings.”

Some fans are now calling on ITV to make the 7am episode upload on ITVX a “permanent thing”.

One person shared on X: “This should be a permanent thing the other soaps are releasing their episodes early every week.”

“Should just do it permanently like BBC do with Eastenders,” agreed another.

Others have also called for ITV to follow BBC’s iPlayer schedule for EastEnders, as one wrote: “ITV have finally listened to the viewers to have it on early. The BBC have done this along time now with EastEnders. If ITV review the early morning figures after the summer, then it should become permanent. I don't get up early as I record it evenings.”

This account also said: “About time. Eastenders have been doing this for ages!!”

Another added: “Going online at 7 am should be a permanent move. It is way better to just be able to watch the program when you want to & earlier like EastEnders!”

A Corrie fan even praised: “This is a game changer actually”.

But one was left confused, as they tweeted: “Sorry but not sure how there's a link haha isnt the Olympics only on the BBC and there's no change to ITV at all.”
