WE shared the news that 50 years ago, five friends had an egg and flour fight on their last day at Trinity School.

Afterwards, they were spotted cleaning it off in the fountain at Hardwicke Circus by one of the News & Star's photographers who captured this photo.

Four of the five friends met up again this week to mark the 50th anniversary by recreating the photo.

We asked our readers if they were still in touch with their childhood friends.

Annmarie Bowes said: "Yes, we still meet up whenever we can, 53 years this year."

Sue Jordon said: "One lives across the road and the other is not too far from me."

David Dalglish Snr added: "I married one of mine," as Heather Harrison said: "Yes, 71 years and still see six of them."

Steph Thomson said: "Yes some over 60 years. Few live all over the world  We stay in touch via WhatsApp and Facebook. So many happy memories."

Susan Ann Nicholls said: "Yes we regularly meet up."

Paul Hadwin commented: "Still remotely in touch, though not seen, a few from Carlisle even though I've not lived there for about 45 years," adding "still in touch with many from secondary school in Yorkshire."
