Carlisle United were remaining tight-lipped on their manager hunt last night after a further day of speculation regarding Livingston's David Hopkin.
The Scot was the subject of conflicting reports, with some sources claiming United were keen to land Hopkin soon, and others suggesting Livi were confident he would stay.
It is understood Hopkin - the odds-on favourite for the Blues post - was meeting the newly-promoted Scottish Premiership's club directors yesterday and it is expected he will be offered a new contract.
Carlisle said they would not comment on rumours or speculation.
The Blues have said they would make a decision on their chosen successor to Keith Curle by the middle of this week.
