Carlisle United's scheduled League Two game at Crewe tomorrow has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The game has now been rearranged for Tuesday, February 12, kick-off 7.45pm.
Crewe held a pitch inspection around 1pm this afternoon and a local referee deemed that the pitch would not be playable.
On their websire the Railwaymen said: "After the sub-zero temperatures in South Cheshire this week and the impending weather forecast, a local referee decided to call the game off on Friday lunchtime after performing a pitch inspection.
"Both Crewe Alex and Carlisle wanted the game on, but also took into consideration the likelihood of the pitch defrosting in time for kick-off and also the travel arrangements for both sets of supporters."
The Alexandra Stadium club had earlier this afternoon said it was "too early" to judge and that any inspection would not happen until the morning.
After the new date was confirmed, Carlisle said any tickets bought for the original fixture will be valid for the rearranged trip.
Anyone who cannot attend the February 12 game should contact the United ticket office for a full refund.
United had been preparing for the game to be on but Steven Pressley's side, featuring a host of new signings, will now be next in action at home to Exeter next Saturday.
