Rising speedway star Kyle Bickley has joined Glasgow Tigers.
The 17-year-old had signed for Workington Comets for a second season until his hometown club decided not to run this year, leaving the youngster with only a National League team.
Now the Workington-based racer has been snapped up by the Tigers after the Scottish club released reserve Joe Lawlor.
Speaking to Glasgow's official website, Bickley said: "I'm delighted to have been given the call and can't wait for the season to start now.
"I want to say a big thanks to the promotion, to be at Glasgow is a huge opportunity for me.
"I've been to Glasgow a few times and I know how good the fans are there.
"I'm looking forward to meeting them all at the supporters group event."
Team manager Cami Brown added: "Kyle comes in with a lot of promise and we are really looking forward to him pushing on and building on his average.
"He is from the same place as Craig and hopefully working together we can see Kyle learn from the best in the league."
