Ten-man Workington Reds scored a late winner at Trafford to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
Substitute Gari Rowntree had been sent off after 73 minutes and, five minutes from the end, West Cumbrians scored the winner.
A corner from Dave Symington on the left was touched on at the near post by Nathan Waterston, with Dan Wordsworth claiming the final poke over the line.
Skipper Conor Tinnion had produced an early low cross which fizzed across goal without anyone able to get a touch.
It was a similar story at the other end when Lewis Salmon got in behind on 24 minutes and a good, low cross went harmlessly across goal with Declan Rydings closing in.
Reds’ best effort came right on half time when a curling free kick from Tinnion had keeper Matt Cooper scrambling to palm away.
Substitute Rowntree was booked on 70 minutes for his second foul and three minutes later he saw red after his third.
But Reds defended well and deserved their late winner.
