There were mixed fortunes for Keswick in home games against Leyland and Chorley on Saturday, with the Men’s 2nds winning 7-1, while the Ladies 1sts lost 3-1.
The women had some youngsters in their side, who settled quickly, but the visitors grabbed a two-goal lead after 20 minutes.
Keswick grabbed one back through Saoirse Jennings-Adams on 24 minutes, before Leyland secured a slightly flattering win with their third soon after the break.
The Men’s 2nds started quickly, scoring after just two minutes through Dan Owen.
They dominated, but only Ben Harrison managed to add to the lead in the opening half.
Keswick got more reward for their dominant play in the second half as Owen and Jack Stockdale scored in the opening five minutes, with teenager Ruaridh Dean scoring the fifth and sixth soon after.
The visitors pulled one back after 28 minutes, only for Matty Burridge to score Keswick’s seventh.
The Men’s 1sts won their re-arranged game against Liverpool University 10-2 on Sunday.
Mark Proctor (2), Rob Cook, Mark Bowen, Luke Heap and Ben Harrison, all scored to give Keswick a 6-1 half-time lead.
Steve Salveson scored after the break, before Proctor got his hat-trick, with Cook and Salveson both scoring their second goals, with Liverpool grabbing a late consolation.
