Former Carlisle United favourite Jabo Ibehre has announced his retirement.
The ex-Blues striker, 37, says injury has led him to call time on his career.
Ibehre was last with Cambridge, spending three years with the club after two popular campaigns at Carlisle.
The Londoner scored 31 goals in his pair of seasons at Brunton Park from 2015-17 and became a big fans' favourite.
Ibehre announced his decision on Twitter this morning.
He wrote: "They said it would fly by, that you'd better enjoy the party...700+ appearances and 150+ goals later it's time for me to go home.
"I'm gutted it ends through injury but it has been a dream, an honour and a privilege.
"I'd like to thank my family and my friends for all the love and the support and sacrifices along the way - I am forever grateful."
The striker added: "Thank you to my team-mates, managers and coaching staff for the cherished memories, some horrors in there too, you know who you are...but without you guys it wouldn't be easy when it was hard.
"Last but not least to the fans, i'm gonna miss you, thank you so much for the love, it has always been appreciated."
Former Leyton Orient, Colchester and MK Dons frontman Ibehre became an instant hit after joining Carlisle under Keith Curle in the summer of 2015.
He made a brilliant goalscoring start to his United career, firing 10 goals in his first 10 games, including a sensational hat-trick in a 4-4 draw against Cambridge.
Other memorable games included a two-goal haul in a 3-2 win at Hartlepool.
Ibehre ended his first Blues campaign on 17 goals, and added a further 14 in 2016/17 as Curle's promotion-chasing side lost out in the League Two play-offs.
He made 85 appearances for the Cumbrians before moving to Cambridge, for whom he played 73 times and scored 14 goals.
His last career goal came at Brunton Park for Cambridge in a 2-2 draw in March 2019.
