The White Horse Sea Angling Club's match last Sunday on north and west piers was fished up to high water and again proved disappointing, with only three fish brought to the scales.
First and the winner on the day was L Lynch, who reeled in a plaice which weighed in at 14oz.
Second was J Murray, who also caught a plaice but missed out on the top spot as it weighed in at 10½oz.
Coming in third with the only other fish caught was A Hartley's dab, weighing in at 2½oz.
The next match this coming Sunday will be from Seascale slipway to Harrington pier, with fishing times of 11.30am to 3.30pm and weigh-in at the north shore car park.
