Seaton-born Jamie Blamire has been called up to the England Rugby Union camp.
The 23-year-old hooker, is one of the uncapped players within the squad who were called up for training last week.
On being called up to the squad, Jamie told England Rugby of his excitement at playing for the national side.
He said: “All my family, everyone just messaging me saying congratulations, the more I hear people messaging saying congratulations and stuff it just makes you realise what you're doing.”
“I’m so excited, it just makes you realise what a big opportunity this is and you have just got to make sure you take it, and give all I can to it.”
"There’s obviously a lot of new stuff going on compared to club and it’s just trying to pick up on that as fast as I can.”
Jamie started his rugby career as part of Seaton Rangers RLFC.
