Former Carlisle United goalkeeping coach Steve Collis has joined a new club - under an ex-Blues manager.
The man who left Brunton Park earlier this summer has now linked up with Keith Curle at Oldham Athletic.
Collis - since replaced by Dan Hanford at Carlisle - has signed a two-year deal at Boundary Park.
He has been joined in Curle's backroom team by another ex-Blues man in Colin West, who rejoins Curle as assistant head coach.
Collis left Carlisle last month with boss Chris Beech citing the travelling commitments to Cumbria as one of the reasons for the 40-year-old's departure.
He has been working with Curle's squad during pre-season ahead of last night's confirmation of his deal.
Curle, who has also brought in Alan Sheehan as player-coach, said: “I know Colin after working with each other on a number of occasions and have also worked with Alan both who have extremely high standards and I know they’ll make the most of the opportunity here - along with Steve who has impressed us since arriving for pre-season and has excellent references regarding improving goalkeepers and his role as a coach in that department.
"This means they all bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the first team ahead of what will be a challenging but hopefully memorable season."
Oldham's playing ranks include the ex-United striker Hallam Hope. Former Blues player and coach Paul Murray recently left his role as academy boss.
