Former Carlisle United star Liam McCarron was in the Leeds United squad for a Premier League game for the first time today.
The ex-Blues prospect was named in Marcelo Bielsa's 18-man squad for their 1-1 draw at Burnley.
It was the 20-year-old's first involvement with the senior side for a competitive first-team game after two years at the Elland Road club.
McCarron, who was born in Preston and grew up in Appleby, watched from the bench as Leeds' Patrick Bamford scored late on to cancel out Chris Wood's Clarets opener.
The former United winger has had to wait for his chance since joining Leeds from Carlisle in the summer of 2019.
He has been a regular performer for the Yorkshire club's Under-23s whilst McCarron impressed in pre-season.
He got his maiden first-team outing at left-back in Leeds' friendly against Ajax earlier this month.
Boss Bielsa called him into the squad for the Burnley game after some senior players were ruled out.
Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo were both out after testing positive for Covid-19.
McCarron made 20 appearances for the Cumbrians in the 2018/19 season after coming through the youth ranks, and quickly attracted the attention of bigger clubs.
He moved to Leeds in 2019 along with another Blues prospect in Josh Galloway, and has since earned Scotland Under-21 call-ups.
