It was a good day on the field for both Workington Town and Workington Reds as they both recorded victories this afternoon.
Workington Reds remain top of the Northern Premier League West table after a 2-1 win over Market Drayton at Borough Park.
A Dav Symington goal put them 1-0 up at Borough Park after 24 minutes and the home side made it 2-0 when Rowan Roache slotted home a penalty.
Market Drayton got a late consolation to make the final score 2-1 when Conor Hughes scored in the 89th minute.
Workington Town got back on track in their trip to the capital to take on London Skolars in League One.
They emerged 35-18 victors from the clash, after taking an 18-0 half time lead.
Brad Holroyd finished with two tries and a drop-goal to his name.
There were further tries for Rhys Clarke, Conor Fitzsimmons, Matty Henson and Jamie Doran. Carl Forber round off the scoring with five goals.
