Crawley have signed experienced former Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and QPR defender Joel Lynch ahead of this weekend's clash with Carlisle United.
The 33-year-old free agent has agreed a four-month deal with the Red Devils.
He could make his debut against the Cumbrians in this Saturday's clash in Sussex.
Lynch has been training with John Yems' squad and featured in a pre-season game.
Manager Yems told the club website: “I’m very happy to have Joel with us.
"He has got great experience in the Championship and has been with us for months at training.
"I wish Joel all the best here and I know he can bring a lot to our squad.”
Chief executive Erdem Konyar said Lynch would add "depth and leadership to our group.”
Lynch started at Brighton before moving to Nottingham Forest for a six-figure fee.
The one-cap Wales international later spent four years with Huddersfield, going on to spend three campaigns with QPR.
He was most recently with Sunderland, making 21 appearances in an injury-hit 2019/20 campaign before being released, and did not feature in first-team football last season.
