Sacked Carlisle United boss Chris Beech has been installed as fifth favourite for the manager's job at League One side Charlton Athletic.
Beech, dismissed by the Blues earlier this month, is rated 14/1 by Sky Bet.
The former Brunton Park head coach's name features among a string of potential contenders for the top job at The Valley.
It follows the departure of Nigel Adkins from the south London club.
Caretaker bos Johnnie Jackson is 4/5 favourite with ex-Newport boss Michael Flynn and Sutton's 6/1, Matt Gray 9/1.
Chris Wilder and Michael Laudrup are 12/1 with Beech at 14s along with a string of other individuals including Chris Powell, Jason Euell, Michael Duff and Neil Harris.
The prospect of Charlton turning to the manager who left United in a League Two relegation battle may be remote.
Beech, though, may point to his initial work at Brunton Park when he led the Cumbrians to the top of the table before their 2020/21 season was derailed by Covid and postponements.
