It might not have been the most obvious occasion to stage a dramatic pitch invasion.
A Papa John's Trophy tie, in front of fewer than 1,000 people, and with your team already with no chance of progressing?
All the same - one supporter couldn't resist aiming for a little notoriety during Morecambe's home game with Carlisle United on Tuesday night.
81' A fan has just came on the pitch and kicked the ball as Howard was about to take the goal kick. Quick work from a steward to get him in a headlock and off the pitch.

In the second half of the northern group A game, he burst onto the pitch and booted the ball away from the Blues' goalkeeper Mark Howard as the United No1 prepared to take a goal kick.
His encroachment didn't last long, though - as it brought a swift response from a steward, who seized the culprit and led him from the pitch, as our photo by Barbara Abbott at the top of the article shows.
Quick work, then from the man in the yellow jacket, enabling the game swiftly to resume, as United went on to complete a 2-0 victory.
