Cumbrian star Helen Housby has returned to the England netball squad for the forthcoming series against Jamaica.
The 26-year-old has been named in a 16-strong squad by Vitality Roses head coach Jess Thirlby.
Housby, from Drumleaning near Wigton, will take on the Jamaica Sunshine Girls in a three-match series which starts later this month.
The series, which sees games in London on November 28 and in Nottingham on December 4 and 5, also forms part of preparations for next year's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.
Thirlby said she was delighted to welcome back New South Wales Swifts star Housby and other players who had been unavailable for some previous games.
“This squad showcases the depth and breadth of talent we have in the Vitality Roses team, and I am excited to bring this group of players together for the Roses Reunited series," the coach said.
“To welcome back the likes of Jo Harten, Helen Housby, Stacey Francis-Bayman and Natalie Haythornthwaite to the squad only helps to strengthen an already talented and well established group.
“The team cannot wait to get back on court in front of home fans, keeping focused on our preparation for the Commonwealth Games next summer and developing and building as a team, to make everyone proud."
