Swindon Town's in-form ex-Carlisle United frontman Harry McKirdy has been rewarded with a new deal.
The attacker, who has scored six goals in three games and 12 so far this season, has agreed new terms at the County Ground.
McKirdy, 24, has reignited his career in Wiltshire after joining Swindon on an initial one-year deal after a summer trial.
He hit four against Northampton recntly and also scored against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The Robins have now moved to extend his stay, with the length of the new deal not confirmed.
"When I spoke to my family about it, I think it was a bit of a relief for them knowing that I would be going into the summer without having to look for a club, which hasn't been the case for the last few seasons," said McKirdy, who was released by United in 2020 despite top scoring in the 2019/20 campaign, and had a spell with Port Vale last term.
"I'm really enjoying my time here, on and off the pitch, and that's the main thing for me, I'm happy and I'm not sure what else really matters to be honest."
United will come up against McKirdy and Swindon on February 19 at Brunton Park.
