Sutton United manager Matt Gray felt his side could have been out of sight by half-time against Carlisle United after an "outstanding" first 45 minutes.
The visitors' two first-half efforts proved enough to secure a 2-0 win against the goal-shy Blues.
Gray, whose EFL new boys are fourth in League Two, was full of praise for the way his team dominated the Cumbrians early on.
And he said they performed professionally to keep Keith Millen's team at bay after the break.
"I'm absolutely thrilled," Gray said after the game.
"The first half we were outstanding, absolutely outstanding.
"We could have been out of sight at half-time."
Gray highlighted Sutton's second goal as typical of the quality of their play.
"People home in on our set-piece threat and [physical attributes] and we don't get the credit we deserve for our football," he added.
"The passing move was outstanding."
Sutton held off United's attempted fightback after the break.
And their boss added: "In the second half they [Carlisle] had their moments.
"It's one of the biggest pitches in the league, and the lads, after three Tuesday nights in a row, to come here and play, after all the travelling and everything...they looked a bit tired in spells but in the last ten minutes were very professional and saw it through excellently."
