Carlisle United made a triple striker swoop before the transfer deadline.

The Blues have brought in St Mirren's former Chesterfield and Notts County frontman Kristian Dennis on an 18-month deal.

That followed the permanent capture of Sutton United's Tobi Sho-Silva and West Bromwich Albion loan man Owen Windsor.

Dennis is the most experienced striker to come through the door at Brunton Park.

He scored six goals in 39 appearances for St Mirren having been with the Paisley club since August 2020.

Before that he had a 22-goal spell at Notts County over two campaigns.

That followed impressive scoring stints for Chesterfield and Macclesfield Town.

United hope Dennis will add know-how and goals to a side which has mustered the lowest tally of goals in League Two so far this season.

And further attacking competition is provided by Sho-Silva and Windsor.

The Blues confirmed the signing of 26-year-old Sho-Silva on an 18-month deal, for an undisclosed fee.

Former Charlton Athletic, Halifax, Chelmsford, Bromley, Inverness Caley Thistle and Welling man Sho-Silva became United's second deadline-day signing two days after he appeared at Brunton Park as a substitute in Sutton's 2-0 win.

Sutton boss Matt Gray said: 'Tobi has had limited opportunities of first-team football with us this season, but he was a really important part of our historic [National League] championship winning squad last season and has been brilliant to work with throughout his time with us.

"We thank him for his contribution to our success, and wish him every success at Carlisle and in the future.''

Sho-Silva scored one goal in 12 appearances for Sutton this season.

Windsor's arrival was then announced by the Blues.

The 20-year-old former Cirencester Town man, who joined West Brom in 2019, has been on loan at Grimsby Town this season, scoring twice.

He has been a regular in the Baggies' PL2 team, scoring five goals in 18 games this season.

He also went on loan to Newport County last season, making one sub appearance.

The trio were joined by Biringham loan defender Mitchell Roberts and returning midfielder Jamie Devitt on transfer deadline day at Brunton Park.
