There were mixed fortunes for Carlisle United’s string of loan players in their latest weekend of action.
All five Blues players got some game time for their respective clubs.
Weymouth handed Manasse Mampala his second start following his deadline-day move to the National League strugglers.
The Carlisle frontman played the first 71 minutes but was unable to inspire the Terras as they went down to a 3-0 defeat at King’s Lynn.
It was a second start after Mampala featured for David Oldfield’s third-bottom side against Yeovil in midweek.
Also in the National League, there was a substitute outing for Tristan Abrahams in Grimsby Town’s clash with Notts County.
The United striker came on in the 88th minute as Paul Hurst’s side came from behind to clinch a dramatic 2-1 victory.
And Abrahams earned the free-kick from which Luke Waterfall grabbed an injury-time winner.
It was Abrahams’ fourth game for the Mariners, with the frontman yet to open his goalscoring account.
In National League North, Taylor Charters was a half-time substitute for Gateshead against AFC Fylde.
But the west Cumbrian midfielder ended on the losing side as the visitors won 3-0 in the north east.
Charters set up Macaulay Langstaff for a late chance but it ended in defeat in Charters’ fourth Heed appearance.
Warrington Town handed Blues winger Lewis Bell his first appearance since joining the Northern Premier League Premier side on loan.
The teenager started their game against Grantham Town.
But Bell was replaced at half-time as his loan club drew 3-3.
Finally, Josh Dixon was called into action by Workington Reds manager Chris Willcock in their 2-0 victory over Mossley in NPL West.
The United midfielder replaced ex-Blues man Dave Symington in the 72nd minute, shortly before another former Carlisle youth player, Ceiran Casson, sealed Reds’ victory at Borough Park.
