BARROW made it two wins from two with a hard earned victory at the Recreation ground. The Raiders went into the game on the back of a home 24-10 win over Sheffield while Haven were heavily beaten 50-4 at Leigh.
Barrow with the blustery wind and heavy rain to their backs took the game to their host,s and went in at the break 18-0 to the good.
The Raiders were forced to make a last minute change to their line-up with Jarrad Summat pulling out through a niggling injury with Jake Carter a late call up.
The Raiders were off to a flying start with only two minutes on the clock and six points on the score board.
From close range Dan Toal playing once more at centre followed a chip through the cover to dot the ball down,Ryan Shaw being on target 0-6 and the Raiders were up and running.
On 15 minutes Shaw increased the visitors lead when he slotted over a penalty goal 0-8.
Haven were finding it difficult adapting to the conditions and went further behind on 19 minutes. It was former Haven forward Ellis Gillam who tore through the cover with the ball moving sharply to Shaw who touched down, but Shaw failed to convert 0-12.
Four minutes later Ritson broke down the wing and parted inside to Miloudi who raced in from 30 yards out,Shaw making no mistake at goal 0-18.
Barrow were down to 12 men on the half time hooter with skipper Jarrad stack sent to the sin bin for a late tackle.
Stack returned ten minutes into the second period while nine minutes later the Raiders were caught short with numbers outwide allowing Connor Holiday to cross the white-wash for an unconverted try 4-18.
Haven had the wind and driving rain in their favour in this second period but finding a way through proved to be difficult as the Raiders defence stood firm, although Evans was held up over the line.
At the other end Ritson did cross, but a player was ruled offside in the build up.
Barrow now face Newcastle Castle thunder next week at Craven Park.
