Carlisle United's fans gave a mixed reaction to the Blues' 2-2 draw at Colchester United.

Some fans praised the late fightback - but many raised serious concerns over the quality of the performance.

Here is a selection of the views the Blue Army gave us on Twitter.

Was like being at the funeral of a friend first half. So upsetting, desperate and painful to watch. Talk of fight yet they look shellshocked without ever having been to the front. Such a ragbag 11 and a team in name only. Honestly, what can you say? Carlisle are hanging by a thread. (@BackoSkiddaw)

Hardly got out of our own half in a shameful first half. Second half a bit better but at times we were all over the place. This was a lucky point and there are worse tests to come. I think it's going to go to the wire this season, I wish I was confident but I'm not. (@peterjo91525330)

It’s a bit like 1999, staying up by the skin of our teeth and then doing similar until the inevitable happened and we went down, however this team is actually weaker. (@keithelliott94)

A point away from home is never a bad thing. Need to build on it. Good team spirit shown today after Tuesdays debacle. (@RonnieSmith1964)

It's difficult. The defence of a month ago has been lost to injury. Guy is also out and thus a limited midfield is completely absent. You feel that Millen is left trying to manage the deckchairs. His January target vanished due to no ££. We are surviving, just, on fumes. (@BruceVander)

We seem to have players who can score the goals that we're going to need but we have to start playing football in midfield if we're going to make the chances they need. I don't think we're good enough to play for clean sheets and get winners on the break. (@DavidDe21150149)

Positives: Actually fought back after going behind. Negatives: Crumbling defence. Shaky midfield. Incomprehensible delay in using subs (Devitt left until 87th minute??). Gibson left on the bench. (@EarnThtDanegeld)

Had no expectations and fully expected a resounding defeat. On that basis there are positives in us managing to find a late equaliser. That said the overall performance was forgettable and we are very frail defensively. All we can do is hope there is something to build on. (@mlgraham73)

Another inept performance against a poor side. Hope that late goal doesn’t distract from the fact that it wasn’t good enough. (@leecrowe007)

If you get outplayed to that extent by one of the relegation candidates, after your new manager bounce has faded, you are in a lot of trouble. (@Mellons83)

Nothing will change unless the ownership changes. Yes Holdsworth (definitely) and Millen (probably but who’s going to come in and do better) need to go but even if they do nothing will change. There doesn’t appear to be a long term plan. Just fighting fires season after season. (@fozzybear19)

Really poor quality. It’s only wins that will save us, and I can’t see where they are going to come from. (@dubhead77)

Made my eyes bleed watching that! We wouldn’t look out of place in the North West Counties League #millenout (@dixon221087)

Pathetic!! (@stansanczuk)

Last knockings for Millen. We are getting worse by the week. We are in a desperate situation and relegation looks more probable than ever! (@SamTJohnston24)

Torture! In a word. But they kept going and two good goals, not flukes! Glad I was listening and not seeing. The End. (@LindaNi121202)

Sack Millen, Sack Holdsworth. No ambition from the top down at the club. We went there and from minute one we’re just hoping we could get a point. Should be going to beat teams in and around you. Play that way against a semi decent team and we’ll get humped. (@parkinsonross)

Next Saturday is a must-win game. (@LEEROTHERHAM)

Opinion is unchanged from Tuesday, Millen (and Holdsworth!) need to go. 1 win from 8 is just not good enough. Millen is safe for another week, but Swindon will be a huge test for this defence. (@RyCUFC)

Holdsworth and his pal Millen need to go back down south. I want to see the Dinosaurs gone too and their involvement with the club consigned to history. We have declined for over a decade. (@DavidSutch100)

2-1 down with ten left you’d take a point, but how we caved in from 1-0 to 2-1 in five mins is unacceptable against a poor Colchester team. Unsure we have enough battling qualities in the squad to stomach a relegation dogfight. Fearing the worst and we need to play our creative players. (@gravesylad)

Really lethargic display considering the position we are in. Millen's appointment has been a massive mistake but unfortunately I don’t think our BOD are brave enough to admit it. I fear we are down. (@spendercufc)

You need to get the ball forward and play three up front. Midfield is a joke. If the front three can only manage 45 mins replace them with the others on the bench. We are sleep walking into non league. (@Alan69333548)
