Carlisle United fans were full of praise for their team and manager Paul Simpson after the latest win in their remarkable resurgence.
The 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers, sealed by Kristian Dennis's goal, was watched by 5,884 supporters at Brunton Park.
Here is what some of the Blue Army made of the game as they gave us their views on Twitter.
Another gutsy performance against a very good side. The back three were immense. All we need is some clarification on Simmo. We need him signed up for the next two years and Feeney and others who he wants to keep. The BoD have to step up and make the move sooner rather than later. (@BruceVander)
I thought Rovers were an excellent and very honest, fair team. They had the majority of possession but not necessarily the best chances. The Blues were immense, each and every one of them was a credit to themselves and the club. The team spirit that Simmo has inspired!! (@Rob_burn5)
Thought they were one of the best teams we've faced this season which shows what a big result it was. Excellent from back to front - workrate phenomenal. Simmo manager of the month - any one of the back three for player of the month! (@leerooney)
Another magic day. Real battling performance. Great spirit. Great game too. Credit to both teams. (@scholes_peter)
Another good performance of determination, being professional and the will to win. We can also play football too. Get the contract ready for Simmo owners/new owners. (@LEEROTHERHAM)
A scrappy game. But another hard fought three points. I’m starting to look up the table instead of down it now. (@SamTJohnston24)
We are now going to stay up so comfortably that to outsiders the achievement may start to look unremarkable. But fans know the scale of the transformation under Simmo. I was utterly convinced we were down just a few short weeks ago and the comeback has been truly astonishing. (@mlgraham73)
A proper game of football. Magnificent effort! God knows how they will get a side out for Tuesday, everyone left everything out there! The Simpson effect has been nothing short of miraculous! If only we hadn’t given the rest of the league a 31-game head start! (@DRNoble25)
85.7% success so far. Hmmm. Maybe we should ask him to stay? (@NotInSeddon)
Unbelievable performance, by Blues winning and chasing every ball and the way Patrick danced along the byline to set up Dennis. What an atmosphere - so great to see Brunton Park bouncing with 5,800 (and the rest). A great advert for League Two given by both teams. Hate to see Simeu when he grows... (@ericgreen866)
Performance of the season so far for me. Outstanding. (@Northernmunkey)
Excellent result. Team dug in and battled well I thought we made Rovers look very ordinary (@Alan69333548)
Superb performance, absolute graft from the lot of them (@havenmarra)
Everything you want to see in a Blues performance was evident - pride, passion, effort, desire, and a great win against, let's be honest, a decent team. Proud of the club, Saturday smiles all round (@matty017)
Dead cat bounce? Tick. Resurrection? Tick. Bright ownership future? Er, oh. (@griffsback)
Thought we would struggle today with a much depleted midfield but we were outstanding to a man, everybody battled for every ball and showed so much passion and desire to win. I honestly cannot weigh up how Simpson has done it, we played like a bunch of pansies just four weeks ago? (@brennyboy66)
Watched on iFollow. A great game to watch. A great performance. What a win (@Glass942)
My first post-op game. Was fearing a bubble-bursting performance but not a bit of it. This isn't necessarily a different team from two months ago but it's a completely different Carlisle United. The unity of players and fans has returned Brunton Park to being a happy place. (@1StevieKilner)
Wow....just WOW! (@Playbytherulz)
You can tell his players have total belief in him. Right now every team in this league won’t fancy coming up against us. Even Newport game they battled to the end. (@fatflags)
A gutsy performance against a very good team and of course another 3 points. Even self isolation don’t feel too bad tonight (@hatkinson5527)
I feel this is a chance. For Carlisle not just United. Paul managed the best players in England (with the FA); Paul is based in Derbyshire and there may be an opportunity there. We want him HERE back in the place he started out. It can’t be a nostalgia trip. (@HOMESofFOOTBALL)
The team left everything on the pitch, we can’t ask for more than that, the effort from all was brilliant. Big shout for the ball boys, who took a little bit of tension away from me towards the end by making me laugh a lot, thanks lads!! (@cufcbrand)
What a game, great fighting spirit from all the players, well done to them and the coaching staff. Against a very good Bristol team we had some great chances to score more. What a transformation, give Simmo the freedom of the city. (@peterjo91525330)
Knackered after watching that but proper hardworking and deserved to win in the end. They’ve got to sort Simmo out pronto give him what he wants (@NavyDave94)
The club simply have to back this man. Give him a proper transfer window and go watch him take us back to League One. (@norraist)
Watched the game from Krakow. If only simmo was there at the start of the season. Pulsating game full of commitment. Love being a Carlisle fan… never boring. Good support as well. Keep simmo next year and we will fly (@stevenps2308)
Battled for everything. Never let a good team come and turn us over. Simmo has them all believing and playing for each other. Massive credit to our defence and keeper I thought they were excellent today! (@johnstone_mikey)
All Carlisle fans will ever ask for is commitment and effort for that shirt...this squad under Simmo have that and more, we just seem to find a way to win.....together. (@peterbell83)
