A former Carlisle United promotion winner has headed to Turkey for his latest coaching role.
It has been confirmed that ex-Blues midfielder Adam Murray has joined Besiktas as assistant coach.
It sees Murray again link up with Valerian Ismael, his former boss at Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion.
Ismael, after leaving the Hawthorns in early February, was last week confirmed as the new boss at Besiktas, who are eighth in Turkey's Super Lig.
Murray had been his No2 at West Brom after following the manager to the Hawthorns from Barnsley.

The ex-United man also had a brief stint in League Two recently, joining Port Vale on a temporary basis at a time manager Darrell Clarke was away from the club on compassionate leave.
Murray has previously managed Mansfield Town and Boston United.
He was part of the United side that achieved successive promotions from the Conference to League One under Paul SImpson in 2004/5 and 2005/6.
The former midfielder said he was "proud and honoured" to join Besiktas.
