A Leyton Orient player has been slapped with a two-match ban over comments to an official after being sent off against Carlisle United.
Theo Archibald, who was sent off for two bookable offences against the Blues, must now serve a further suspension.
He was charged with using abusive and/or threatening words towards a match official following his red card in the 49th minute.
The Orient player denied breaching FA Rule E3 and requested a hearing.
But an independent regulatory commission upheld the charge and he will miss Orient's next two games, starting with tonight's game against second-bottom Oldham Athletic, whilst also being fined £750.
Archibald was shown two yellow cards in quick succession for fouls early in the second half of United's 1-0 victory at the Matchroom Stadium on February 26, earning him a one-game ban at the time.
Omari Patrick hit the only goal for the Blues in Paul Simpson's first game back in charge of the Cumbrians.
