Paul Simpson channelled Jurgen Klopp as he issued an impassioned appeal for another bumper Brunton Park crowd.
The Carlisle United boss wants fans to return to the ground in their droves for this weekend’s home clash with Exeter City.
It comes as the Cumbrians seek the points to make themselves safe beyond any lingering doubt in League Two.
The Blues boosted their prospects with Saturday’s dramatic 2-2 draw at Tranmere Rovers.
Simpson has called for another initiative from the club to tempt more fans back.
And he also echoed a clarion call to supporters made by Liverpool boss Klopp in recent days.
“It’s going to be a tough game next week, and we need our fans behind us, to help us,” the manager said.
“I heard Jurgen Klopp doing a bit of a grandstand speech on the radio the other day, saying, ‘Bring your best voices, make a noise, if you can’t come give your ticket to somebody else’.
“Let’s not give our tickets to somebody else, let’s just get as many people into Brunton Park as we possibly can.
“The players have responded to the supporters, and maybe the supporters are responding to the players – let’s have another go, let’s do everything we can to make it a right good place.”
United are 13 points above the relegation zone with six games to go and another positive afternoon this weekend can make the risk of the drop virtually vanish.
Simpson has overseen six wins and a draw from nine games amid a remarkable revival.
The latest point, sealed by Tobi Sho-Silva’s 98th-minute goal at Tranmere, was another memorable finale from Simmo’s Cumbrians.
“What a feeling again at the end,” he said. “It’s incredible.
“The other thing is the bench were all over wanting to celebrate as well.
“I know that probably incited the [home] crowd a bit more, but if you can’t get excited about scoring a 98th minute equaliser against a top team in the league in front of your own fans, you shouldn’t really be in football.
“Those scenes were brilliant and they’ve been brilliant again. I just hope we can get them back in again next weekend at home.
“Get the club doing something to create a real desire from the fans to get in. I heard they’d made cheaper tickets last time [for the Northampton game] – do it again, let’s get them in, get 8,000 in the ground again, make it an atmosphere, the players will respond to that and who knows what could happen?”
