It was intended as a thank-you - but will now herald a new dawn at Carlisle United.
A giant flag in tribute to manager Paul Simpson has been revealed.
It will be displayed by travelling fans at Bradford City at United's final game of the season next weekend.
The flag, which says 'Simmo is our king', features a likeness of the United manager lifting the 2005/6 League Two championship trophy.
It follows a crowdfunding campaign launched by supporter Chris Cope, who said Simpson deserved a major show of gratitude both for his first successful spell in charge and this season's rescue act.

And now the flag will be taken to Valley Parade on May 7 amid a sell-out travelling support, at a time Simpson has just been handed a three-year deal to remain at the helm.
The crowdfunder proved so popular with fans that it hit its £500 target in the space of 24 hours.
Chris said the surplus £170 will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, having consulted the club to invite Simpson to nominate a charity.
Chris also praised Rob Morley for his help with the flag design.
