A big moment in Carlisle United history is 40 years old today - their last promotion to the second tier of English football.
It is four decades to the day since Bryan 'Pop' Robson scored to clinch a 1-0 win at Chester on May 19, 1982.
The victory was enough to secure second place in Division Three and automatic promotion for Bob Stokoe's heroes in front of a big following of travelling supporters.
The United team that day was: Swinburne, Parker, Ashurst, Houghton, Larkin, Coughlin, Craig, Rushbury, Robson, Bannon, Staniforth. Sub: Ritchie.
To mark the anniversary, we've delved into our archives for some photos of the momentous day at Sealand Road.
