Carlisle United are set for a busy summer in the transfer market - and their business could accelerate with some key dates on the horizon.
Paul Simpson has made no secret of his desire to transform the squad into one which can compete in the higher echelons of League Two next season and, alongside head of recruitment Greg Abbott, he is pressing on with bringing in new faces.
Owen Moxon was an early capture from Annan Athletic and the midfielder will not be the last new arrival at Brunton Park.

Here, we take a look at some of the key dates approaching that could prove key in Carlisle United's recruitment drive:
10th June
The EFL transfer window is set to run in-line with that of the Premier League, which means that the trading period will officially begin on June 10.
This date only really impacts loan signings and those involving a player still under contract at another club, as they cannot be given the green light until this date.

Of course, deals can still be agreed and negotiated prior to this point - but won't be official until June 10.
22nd June
Carlisle are set to return to pre-season training on June 22, and Simpson has previously said that he would as many signings as possible done by this point.
"I think I want it done as early as possible,” he said.
“I’ve already got areas I know I want to do as soon as possible.
“One thing I would say is I’m not going to make a knee-jerk reaction. I’m not going to rush into it. I have to make sure it’s right.
“The aim for me is to try and get as many of our group together [as possible] for June 22, when we start back for pre-season training.
“I’m also fully aware that’s not going to be the end product, that will be the starting point.”
30th June
This is the date when most player contracts tend to expire
However, in reality, deals with free agents are often completed long before this point.
30th July
The Cumbrians will kick-off their League Two season on the weekend of July 30.

Simpson will no doubt be keen for the vast majority, if not all, of his squad to be assembled by this point.
1st September
This is when the transfer window is set to close - with the Premier League (and therefore likely the EFL) trading periods scheduled to end at 11pm.
Carlisle can still sign free agents after this point if required.
