Released Carlisle United midfielder Danny Devine has been handed a chance north of the border.
Scottish Championship side Dundee have taken the 24-year-old on trial according to reports in Scotland.
The Courier say Dundee boss Gary Bowyer has given Devine the chance to impress in pre-season.
Bowyer previously worked with Devine at Bradford City and is said to be running the rule over the player ahead of the 2022/23 Championship season.
Devine was let go by Carlisle in May after two seasons at Brunton Park.

He made 35 appearances under successive managers Chris Beech, Keith Millen and Paul Simpson, having joined in the summer of 2020 after a long spell with home-city club Bradford.
Devine was among eight players released by Simpson at the end of 2021/22 along with Lewis Alessandra, Manasse Mampala, Rod McDonald, Kelvin Mellor and Gime Toure, along with Jamie Devitt who is currently training with United in the hope of winning a new deal.
Mellor and McDonald have already got fixed up with a new club, both defenders joining Crewe Alexandra.
Bowyer, meanwhile, was appointed Dundee boss last month after being sacked by Salford City.
He has taken his assistant and former Carlisle player and coach Billy Barr to be his No2 at Dens Park.
