Carlisle United fans were in positive spirits after the 3-1 pre-season victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Here are the views of some of the Blue Army on Twitter after the game.

Thought we played really well, the lads looked good and could have ran all night. Bolton played well too which is a good sign that we kept them pretty much at bay. Excited for it all to start again! UTB (@Luke_Graham_)

Thought we played some great football at times. Still some points to work on but thoroughly enjoyed today's match and cannot wait for the season to begin (@tracy_sturgess)

It’s a win and a good performance, I don’t think we will struggle but challenging for play-offs will be difficult I guess. As Simmo says it’s a project and it’ll take time (@keithelliott94)

First 15-20 minutes we looked a bit ragged. Midfield looked a little light. Positive moves for the rest of the match. Willing to pursue, attack, chase and defend. Solid in goal. Overall promising cohesion. Roll on 30th July! (@richards_avril)

Comfortable, and never looked in trouble. A defender, midfielder and forward should complete us. We have a good manager that makes a difference. (@LEEROTHERHAM)

United's performance was good, all players did well; the victory is meaningless. I was looking forward to seeing a bit of class from BWFC; I was disappointed. (@AyeCumbrian)

I'm not one to get over exited about a pre-season result ...but we are going to win every single trophy we compete in. (@Grwylie)

The concern is I think we could have a great XI that could take us up..it’s the inevitable injuries that will hamper the promotion potential. (@CameronEllis_)

Very encouraging, impressed by Barclay and hope Feeney is OK. Edmo was so cool with goal and what a bullet from Barclay. Don't know how strong Bolton team was but very poor from them. (@ericgreen866)
